Course Description
The Environmental Protection Agency, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the United States Department of Agriculture consider bed bugs a public health pest. Because of this, and because of the ease at which bed bugs can travel from location to location, it’s important for senior care professionals, child care workers and the general public to have some information about these pests. By the end of this course you will be able to:
-Distinguish bed bugs from other pests
-Describe how to find bed bugs
-Recognize an infestation
-List the best ways to prevent infestations
-Summarize the available treatment option when your home is infested
-Discuss the best way to treat bed bug bites
