Course Description
The CDC estimates that more than 16 million people in the United States are living with cognitive impairment, making cognitive impairment and dementia a vital training topic for senior care workers. In this course, you will learn about cognitive impairment and how it relates to dementia and Alzheimer’s disease as well as how it is detected. We'll also discuss the differences between the changes associated with normal aging and cognitive impairment and offer methods for treating and supporting those with cognitive difficulties.
