Course Description
This course covers defensive driving techniques and best practices for on-the-road safety as well as common driving hazards, what you can do to avoid an accident and what you should do if you are involved in an accident. By the end of this course, you will be able to:
-Outline the basics of defensive driving
-List the factors to control: human error, vehicle maintenance, pre-drive inspections, road rage, alcohol/drug use and seat belt use
-List techniques for driving in bad weather, bad road conditions, unpredictable conditions and at night
-Identify ways to avoid collisions and accidents, and identify how to handle collisions and accidents if they do occur
-Classify the unique characteristics of passenger vans and the potential hazards posed by them
