This comprehensive online training package fulfills the District of Columbia Department on Disability Services (DDS) Phase 1 requirements for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). As of March 2019, these essential foundation courses can be completed entirely online without a live trainer present, making compliance more accessible for agencies and staff.

This comprehensive online training package fulfills the DC Department of Disability Services (DDS) Phase 4 annual continued education requirements for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are members of the Provider Coalition.
Phase 4 Training is required for all staff with direct support roles and must be maintained annually or at the person's anniversary date of hire. While most direct support staff must complete 15 hours of professional development, Provider Coalition members need only complete 10 hours.

Elder abuse is a significant problem in the United States and it's been proven that the best way for caregivers to prevent, detect and stop elder abuse is to document and report all important events and changes. This course covers major incidents, adverse incidents and significant changes, as well as the best way to document all three.
