In this course, you will learn about adaptive equipment and how this equipment can be used to help the individuals you support. We will also review the protocols that have been put in place by the Department of Disabilities Services (DDS) and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) to establish the standards and guidelines by which providers can and will be sanctioned if their performance related to the procurement, repair or maintenance of adaptive equipment is deficient or poses a serious threat to the health, safety and wellbeing of the individuals who receive services.
