Course Description
This training will focus on the concepts related to Community Integration and Inclusion, also referred to as calling Community Membership. The course will focus on how to help people with intellectual or development disabilities connect with their community and take an active role in group membership. By the end of this course, you will be able to:
-Define the term "community membership"
-Demonstrate strategies to assist individuals in connecting with their communities
-Identify the steps to group membership
-Describe barriers to connecting individuals to their communities
-Identify solutions to these barriers
-Describe the benefits of community membership
