Assisted living facilities are required to provide various in-service trainings to facility staff. The following list identifies the six in-service training requirements pursuant to Chapter 58A-5.0191(2), Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). This package also includes additional courses at no extra cost.
- Infection Control: Universal Precautions and Safety Basics (one hour)
- Significant Changes and Incident Reporting (one hour)
- Resident Rights (one hour)
- Assistance with the Activities of Daily Living (three hours)
- Basic Food Safety: Foodborne Illness (one hour)
- Elopement and Wandering (one hour)
This package also includes:
- HIPAA (one hour)
- Elder Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation (one hour)
- HIV/AIDS (one hour)
